Privacy Policy

Effective October 20, 2026

Artifacts Dream is a small studio in Los Angeles, California, that makes hand-cast, hand-painted keepsakes. This policy explains what information we handle and why. Questions: info@artifactsdream.com.

What we collect

We use no advertising pixels or analytics that follow you across websites. Our host keeps standard access logs and provides AWStats. The site stores your language and display choices in your browser. When you first use a heart, it also stores a random device token in your browser; our server stores only a keyed hash of that token and your saved model choices. Hearts work without interest statistics. The token remains until you clear your browser storage; a saved choice expires after 365 days without a change.

Interest statistics are optional. Only after you choose “Allow interest stats” do we set a first-party secure session cookie for one day and count, by model, detail opens, enlarged photo views, Etsy link clicks and request starts. We count each action at most once per model, session and UTC day. These are interest signals, not purchases or identifiable visitor totals. You can turn these statistics off in the collection at any time; this clears the cookie and stops future counts. Your choice is stored in this browser for up to 180 days. Past combined counts cannot be removed by session. We keep daily combined counts for 180 days and short-lived deduplication and abuse-limit records for up to two days. For abuse limits we use a keyed, daily-changing hash of your IP address, rather than storing the full address in this feature’s database; ordinary hosting logs are separate. We do not send form contents to this feature or use an outside analytics provider. Fonts and images are served from our server. There are no user accounts.

How we use it

We do not sell your information and do not share it for advertising.

Who helps us

We use a small number of service providers who process information on our behalf: Namecheap (website hosting and business email), Google (email inbox), Etsy (marketplace and payments for Etsy orders) and shipping carriers such as USPS (delivery). They may only use your information to provide their service to us.

How long we keep it

Requests that do not become an order are not kept: we may delete them at any time after the conversation ends, and in any case within 12 months. For completed orders we keep only the records the law requires us to keep for our own purposes, such as sales and tax records (generally at least four years). We do not keep an archive for customers: we are not obliged to store or later provide copies of orders, quotes, photos or correspondence for you. Please keep your own copy of your signed order and receipts.

Your choices and rights

You can ask us to show you, correct or delete the information we hold about you by emailing info@artifactsdream.com. We will reply within 30 days.

Visitors in the EU, UK and similar regions. We process your information to take steps at your request before an order and to fulfil it (contract), and to keep our records (legal obligation). You have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to processing, to data portability, and to complain to your local data protection authority.

California. We do not track visitors across third-party websites, so we do not respond differently to "Do Not Track" signals; no third parties collect information about your online activity across sites through our website.

Children

This website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes

If we change this policy, we will post the new version here with a new effective date.
